The motorist was driving along Rue des Cottes, St Sampson’s, towards the west coast at around midday on Saturday.
The vehicle passed a woman walking her dog and in doing so nearly collided with a motorcycle heading in the opposite direction.
The motorcyclist came off of his bike in an attempt to avoid the other driver, resulting in what police have described as “minor injuries”.
