Applications for a bursary supporting health and social care projects have opened in Guernsey – and in celebration of its 35 year history it’s being brought to Jersey.
Intact Insurance’s Health and Social Care Bursary invites health and social care professionals to submit their ideas on how to improve the health, wellbeing and care of their communities.
Entries are welcome until 21 September, with winning applicants receiving £3,000 and runner-ups getting £1,500 to help turn those ideas into real-world health care solutions.
Since 1991, the bursary has supported projects both big and small, from ADHD support resources and autism initiatives to cancer rehabilitation.
Sarah Beatty, Managing Director at Intact Insurance, said the firm was “delighted” to bring the bursary to Jersey.
She said that the firm was “looking forward” to supporting even more projects.
Dermot Mullin, Director of Operations at Health and Social Care (HSC) in Guernsey, said: “The Intact Insurance Health & Social Care Bursary has a long history of supporting innovation and empowering our staff to develop ideas that make a real difference to patient care and community wellbeing.
“Many of the projects funded over the years have gone on to improve services, enhance the experiences of patients and families, and inspire new ways of working.”
The expansion of the bursary into Jersey hopes to extend the legacy of the project and continue to support the development of new health and social care projects.
