Brandon Alan Le Prevost entered no pleas in the Magistrate’s Court and his application for bail was refused.
The court was told that Guernsey Police had received multiple reports of a burglary in the early hours of 19 June and when officers arrived at the pharmacy they found smashed windows and the defendant inside the building.
Crown Advocate Fiona Russell said the case may involve other individuals and investigations are ongoing.
Duty Advocate Sam Maindonald requested bail due to the protracted length of time expected for all evidence to be collected.
But Judge Marc Davies said there was a “substantial concern” that bail conditions could be breached, and that the case involved “very serious allegations”, as he remanded the defendant in custody.
He will appear in court again next month.
