The number of active cases has declined over the last week – while the number of positive tests has remained static at 252 for ten days in a row now.
The latest statistics released by the States of Guernsey show all of the positive cases remain in Guernsey, with none in Herm, Sark or Alderney.
19 people were waiting for test results yesterday – while in total nearly three and a half thousand people have tested negative for the virus since March.

The number of active cases of covid-19 in the Bailiwick is now at the lowest level it’s been since the middle of March, just a week after the first patient tested positive for the virus.
That patient is believed to have returned from holiday in Tenerife – while soon after that a cluster of cases was confirmed in a party returning from a ski trip to Europe.
Guernsey closed the Bailiwick’s borders before the end of the month, with a strict lockdown imposed on March 25.
Since then the island has “squashed the curve” according to Director of Public Health, Doctor Nicola Brink – but she has warned against complacency.

The number of people being tested has continued to rise over the Bank Holiday weekend, with an average of 60 tests a day still being carried out.
The Bailiwick remains in lockdown though, with Sark seeing further relaxation in light of the fact there are no confirmed corona virus cases there.
In Guernsey, more people are expected to return to work this week, and people are now allowed outside of their homes for up to four hours a day.
