A small dog died near L’Ancresse Common after being hit by a long grey SUV, which then drove off, Guernsey Police said.

The dog, a Yorkshire Terrier/Pomeranian cross, was hit at about 15:20 on Friday 27 March on Les Mielles Road in the Vale.

Guernsey Police said they are “keen to speak with the driver”.
