Guernsey Police is appealing for witnesses to help them identify the van’s driver, who did not stop after the incident.
The two vehicles hit each other’s wing mirrors at around 16:45 on Wednesday 12 November and police are especially keen to speak to the occupants of another car which was seen driving behind the panel van at the time.
One eye-witness has said the van had only one working tail light.
