Police are appealing for information after a collision on Victoria Avenue damaged three vehicles.

The incident happened at around 8.30pm on Thursday 4 December on the westbound carriageway by the second layby.

Officers said a blue Audi S5 and a black Volkswagen emerged from Gloucester Street onto Victoria Avenue shortly before the collision.

Two vehicles parked in the layby were damaged, along with a third vehicle travelling westbound. No injuries were reported.

The driver of the Audi was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. They have since been released on bail as the investigation continues.

A police spokesperson said they were keen to speak to “any potential witnesses or any dash cam footage which could have captured the incident, and to identify the vehicles involved”, adding that they also wished to hear from “the driver of the black Volkswagen”.
