As of 16:45 yesterday, THS said the signals were not working, with no lights visible on any of the approaches.
As of this morning, the lights were still broken, however some signs have been put up advising road users to use the junction as a filter.
A spokesman said: “An emergency call has been raised for an engineer to attend and for signage to be placed in the interim.”
“All road users using the junction should use extreme care when passing through the junction.”
