Tomorrow’s Seafront Saturdaze has been called off due to “forecasted strong winds”.
The Bailiwick is predicted to be hit with southwesterly strong Force 6 to 7 winds and gusts to 45mph, along with clouds and rain, which could potentially grow heavy.
A States spokesperson said they know the postponement of Seafront Saturdaze “will be disappointing,” but added “the safety of our stallholders, visitors and staff must come first”.
A spokesperson said they are currently “exploring alternative dates and will share an update as soon as possible”.
The Seafront Sunday planned for the following day is currently planned to go ahead as scheduled.
It’s also understood that Saturday’s Saffery Rotary Walk will go ahead as scheduled with hundreds of people due to walk Guernsey’s perimeter to raise money for charity.
