Channing Tornerup, from Mold in Wales, was originally due to face a Royal Court trial.

However, appearing in the Royal Court on Friday via videolink from HMP La Moye, Tornerup pleaded guilty to stealing a wallet, cash and jewellery from a property in Green Street on 30 March this year.

He also admitted stealing a signet ring from a property in Rue du Landes on the same day; and cash, jewellery and watches from a home in La Verte Rue on 31 March.

He denied stealing a wireless speaker, charger and toiletry bag from a hotel on 28 March.

The prosecution said that the charge relating to the ‘not guilty’ plea would be dismissed after sentencing, which will take place on Friday 26 August.
