A world champion wheelchair motocross rider and a double-amputee skateboarder will visit Jersey this month as part of an event that aims to inspire riders “young and old”.

Skate Space and Skateboard Jersey will host the second Bowl Ā Crock event on Saturday 20 September at Les Quennevais Skatepark.

The celebration of skateboarding culture will feature back-to-back reigning world wheelchair motocross champion Tomas Woods.

His sport sees athletes using wheelchairs ride skateparks and ramps in the same way skateboarders and BMX riders do.

Islanders will have the chance to see this Tomas in action as he rides alongside local talent, invited professional skateboarders, and special guest Felipe Nunes.

Felipe is known for his fearless style and inspirational journey which began after he lost both of his legs in a train accident at the age of six.
