Orbits
Scotland’s leading disabled theatre company is treating Jersey audiences to an installation of dance film ‘Orbits’.
The ‘Birds of Paradise’ theatre company aims to recognise and celebrate disabled artists for the different stories they bring to the stage.
‘Orbits’ focuses on Portuguese disabled dancer Diana Niepce, who uses movement to explore how we feel and what we experience when we lose something that we have been in a relationship with.
The film does not have any dialogue and was created with choreographer Rachel Drazek, filmed by Hugo Glendinning, and features a soundtrack by Scottish composer Scott Twynholm.
‘Orbits’ is being shown on a constant loop at ArtHouse Jersey’s Capital House.
It is available to watch every Tuesday to Sunday until 13 April.
An audio description version of the film is also available for visually-impaired viewers.
