Jersey’s Financial Services Commission says a number of firms have been targeted in what it calls “impersonation attacks.”
The commission goes on to say: “we believe that this is not an isolated incident and that cyber criminals are impersonating individuals from within their own firms.”
But the commission is keeping tight-lighted about the details adding: “we are not able to share further information at this time, but we are asking local companies and islanders to be extra vigilant.”
Their advice is to contact the JFSC supervision team and the police.
