A range of free activities for families and children will be on offer at Howard Davis Park this summer as part of an annual event celebrating young islanders.
The government announced that this year’s Children’s Day celebrations will take place on Sunday 12 July.
The event will once again be held in Howard Davis Park, with live perfomances, free games and activities, educational workshops, and interactive exhibitions on offer.
The event attracts thousands of visitors each year, with volunteers from a range of local charities and community groups lending a hand to support the event.
Children’s Day is an annual event held on or near 3 July, which was the day the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry was published.
Following a recommendation from a citizen’s panel, the day was created as an opportunity to remember lessons of the past and to look forward to brighter futures for children and young people.
