Emergency services responded to reports of a smell of gas at Cherry Orchard Court this morning – with a number of residents evacuated as a “precaution”.
The Jersey Fire and Rescue Service was called to support Island Energy at the Valley Road site at around 8.30am on Wednesday 1 July.
Police also attended the incident, according to a statement from the Justice and Home Affairs department.
The response followed two separate reports of a smell of gas in the area.
“Island Energy are on scene,” the statement added. “A number of residents were evacuated as a precaution and are being supported by Andium Homes.”
