A series of wildlife walks offering islanders the chance to explore Jersey’s landscapes in greater depth is set to return next month.
Run by the Jersey National Park, the ‘Walk in the Park’ initiative will feature 20 expert-led walks throughout May covering a broad range of topics, including wildlife, weather, farming and history.
The scheme aims to showcase the richness of Jersey’s natural environment through accessible, guided experiences led by specialists and local experts.
This year’s programme, entitled ‘The very nature of this island’, brings together a series of walks designed to help participants better understand the landscapes, natural systems and local stories that shape Jersey’s environment and heritage.
Participants will be able to choose from a range of options, including a walk along the entire length of Jersey’s Atlantic coast, as well as shorter circular routes highlighting different areas within the National Park.

Each walk offers a different perspective on the island, with opportunities for attendees to observe their surroundings, ask questions and explore at a relaxed pace.
Walkers are encouraged to take their time, with routes passing through quieter trails and a variety of natural sites.
In addition to the guided programme, 14 self-guided routes are available via an interactive online map hosted on the Jersey National Park website.
