Ferry operator DFDS has announced a series of schedule changes following an incident involving its high-speed vessel last night.
The Tarifa Jet vessel “made contact” with a ferry berth while arriving into port on Sunday evening, sustaining damage to its stern.
DFDS confirmed that no passengers or crew were injured, but the incident led to the immediate cancellation of Sunday evening’s scheduled sailing to St Malo.
In response, the Danish shipping firm has adjusted its operations for the coming days.

The Stena Vinga will now operate the St Malo route on Tuesday, departing St Helier at 06:30 and returning from St Malo at 12:00 local time.
As part of the revised arrangements, Stena Vinga will remain in St Helier overnight after arriving from Portsmouth today.
Consequently, Monday night’s scheduled departure to Portsmouth, along with Tuesday morning’s return sailing, has been cancelled.
A statement from DFDS said: “We recognise that passengers will be concerned about their Easter travel plans.
“We are working on contingency arrangements to maintain services, including sourcing an additional relief vessel to support operations over the Easter period.
“A further update on the schedule for Easter weekend will be provided as soon as possible.”
An investigation will take place to understand the cause of the incident.
