Alex Reczynski

After completing his A-Levels at Hautlieu School, 18-year-old Alex is off to study geography at the University of Manchester. , with the intention of doing a law conversion.
“On the one hand, I’m really excited about two of them, but the last one I was a bit underwhelmed, but I think I can always change that.
“It gave me the grades that I needed to in to university. I’m going to be working at the Burschi Scheme at the local law firms, and then after I do that, hopefully come back here, do my SQEs, and become a fully qualified lawyer.
“I was plotting that I was going to fail, so I was thinking ‘I’m just not going to go and going to do something else’. I think it’s a bit more relief than anything else that I could go and I’ve got a good group of friends to go with, so it is something to be excited about for sure”.
Summer Rattray

Summer Rattray, who completed her A-Levels at Hautlieu School, will be completing the Institute of Law programme at Highlands College, after receiving two As and a B.
She said: “I thought I’d do worse, to be honest. So it was a nice surprise there, and I am very happy with it.
“The idea of university never really appealed to me. I thought there are probably better job opportunities over here for law than there are away.
“I’m very excited to have a routine and a structure again. I’m excited because it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for ages – instead of three subjects that I kind of liked”.
She will be celebrating with friends at the Watersplash this evening.
