Over 500 Jersey students collected their A Level results this morning – with the Education Minister congratulating all those who reached this “important milestone”.
A total of 523 Jersey students were entered for 1,355 A Level examinations.
The overall pass rate for Jersey’s A level results was 98.6% of all A levels taken by Jersey students, compared with 97.4% in England.
For A* to C grade passes Jersey students achieved 76.6%.
Education Minister Rob Ward said: “I want to congratulate all those receiving A-Level and Level 3 qualification results today.
“This is an important milestone for you which marks the start of your next chapter.
“Whether you go to university, undertake vocational studies, or join the world of work, this achievement is a testament to your hard work and dedication.
“I’d also like to thank teachers, support staff, parents, and carers for the important role they’ve played in helping you get to this point.
“Whatever you choose to do next, I wish you all the very best of luck for the future.”
Jersey College for Girls
At Jersey College for Girls, 264 exams were taken and all were passed.
A total of 38% of grades at A* to A, 68% at A* to B, and 93% at A* to C.
JCG principal Carl Howarth said: “We congratulate this cherished generation of tenacious, resilient, courageous and kind young women.
“These results now take them to universities across the UK, Europe and USA, or into purposeful employment within our island.
“These young women are our future doctors, engineers, biochemists, teachers, accountants, historians, economists, diplomats and more.”
He added: “We are so proud of them and thank them, their parents and our staff at JCG for the impact they have had on their lives and the culture and aspiration of our College.”
Victoria College
Victoria College also received an 100% pass rate on all exams taken – with 43% of grades at A* to A, 73% of grades at A* to B, and 90% at A* to C.
Headteacher Dr Gareth Hughes said: “I am delighted to see record results for this wonderful cohort of young men, and could not be more proud of their hard work and perseverance over the last few years.
“They are the group that started Victoria College with me in 2018, and it has been a privilege to have witnessed their growth and development.
“There are so many success stories in this group and they leave with outstanding qualifications that will pave the way for the rest of their lives, in whatever ventures they embark upon.”
He added: “I will certainly miss them all and wish them every success.
“I am grateful for the care and guidance from my staff, and for the support of the parents, who have all provided the excellent foundations on which these record-breaking successes have been built.”
Beaulieu Convent School
Beaulieu Convent School is celebrating a record-breaking year for A* and equivalent grades – with 2025 delivering the highest top-grade results in the school’s history.
The school confirmed that 18.5% of students received an A* grade or equivalent, with over 90% of all students securing a place at their university of choice.
Beaulieu headteacher Matthew Burke said: “I am incredibly proud of every single one of our students.
“These results are the culmination of years of dedication, hard work and the unwavering support of their teachers, families and peers.”
De La Salle College
At De La Salle College, 33% of grades were at A* to A, and 79% were A to C or equivalent.
Headteacher Jason Turner said he was “delighted” with the performance of the boys this year.
“We exceeded our minimum expected levels in all measurements, which demonstrates the significant value added we provide for our boys,” he explained.
“I would like to congratulate all the boys who achieved their personal best and many of whom exceeded them.
“I am proud of all at De La Salle for rising so admirably to the challenges faced.
“Every student who did his best should be celebrating today.”
Hautlieu
At Hautlieu, just over 70% of A Level students achieved grades A* to C.
Interim headteacher Kate Blackhall said: “It is a testament to their dedication, resilience and ambition that these results have opened doors to exciting career paths and secured places at some of the leading universities across the UK and wider world.
“Our sincere thanks go to the parents, teachers, and all those whose unwavering support has helped our students to achieve these impressive outcomes.”
Highlands
A total of 98% of Highlands College’s sixth form students passed their professional and technical qualifications at the same advanced level as A levels.
Of these, 89% have secured employment or enrolled upon further higher-level training; more than half of these will be studying degrees.
Principal Jo Terry-Marchant said: “We are incredibly proud of our students, who have shown determination, adaptability, and resilience throughout their studies.
“Their achievements reflect both their hard work, and the dedication of our staff.
“Whether progressing to university, higher apprenticeships, or employment, our students are ready for the future.
“Standards continue to go up and our students have met the challenge.”
