A fundraising football tournament will bring islanders together this month in memory of a local skateboarder whose legacy is now helping to reshape mental health support for young people in Jersey.
Danny Cram was a well-known skateboarder, surfer, snowboarder, and award-winning plumber who took his own life at the end of 2024 when he was just 25 years old.

Following his death, friends and family established the Danny Cram Foundation to honour his life and create positive change.
Danny’s family said the foundation would aim to address gaps in mental health support services for young adults in Jersey, which they described as “woefully under-equipped”.
In partnership with Barvello Barbershop, the foundation is hosting a six-a-side football tournament this month to raise funds and awareness for its work.
The event will take place on Saturday 31 May at St Clement’s Football Club from 9.30am.
Organisers said: “It’s a chance to show up, connect with people who get it, and play for something bigger than a scoreline.”
