With Halloween yet to arrive, few might want to think about the C-word… but St Helier already has its plans lined up for an inclusive three-day bonanza to welcome in the festive season, with help from the Battle of Flowers paraders.

So, what’s on the agenda?

Thursday 13 November

Tiny Tots Switch-On
Aimed at younger children, this mini switch-on between 4pm and 6pm at Parade Gardens will feature a family sing-along show and mini firework display. Visitors can enjoy a Christmas Village filled with food, fun and family entertainment.

Friday 14 November

Sensory-Friendly Switch-On
Taking place from 3:45pm to 4:45pm, this event will provide the same magical experience of the usual lights switch-on, without all of the flashing lights, crowds and loud music. The Parish of St Helier kindly ask that only families who will benefit from this atmosphere attend in order to maintain a calm crowd.

Official Christmas Lights Switch-On and Parade
For the main event this year, visitors are invited to enjoy a full Christmas village, with food, drink and live entertainment at the gardens from 5pm onwards. Live entertainment will also be held in West’s Centre until 7pm, at which point Santa’s Parade will head down the high street, turning at Charing Cross and then moving towards Parade Gardens.

A firework display is scheduled to light the skies around 8pm.

Saturday 15 November

Battle of Flowers Christmas Parade
From 1pm, Parade Gardens will once again host live entertainment, food, drink and a Christmas Village ahead of the Battle of Flowers Christmas Parade, which starts at 6pm.
