The Battle of Flowers returns to Jersey’s streets this afternoon – with the first of two free parades set to kick off this lunchtime…
The scaled-down celebration will this year feature over 20 floral floats up to 30ft in length, alongside bands, dance troupes, and local entertainers.
The day parade will start at 13:00 on Friday 8 August, whilst an illuminated floats and firework finale will feature during the evening parade from 19:30 on Saturday 9 August.

Discussions are underway to return the parade to its home on Victoria Avenue for 2026, which will enable the reintroduction of the 45ft floats.
Dating back to a parade to celebrate the coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra in 1902, the Battle of Flowers has been a staple of the island’s calendar ever since.
