Mark Le Sueur died on 23 February in Grenoble Hospital after a skiing accident in the Solaise area of Val d’Isère.
Unconfirmed reports suggested Mr Le Sueur, son of former St John Constable John Le Sueur, was skiing off-piste with a friend when the accident happened.
This afternoon, Relief coroner Osman El-Gazzar authorised the release of Mr Le Sueur’s body to his family so that his funeral can go ahead; his death is not being treated as suspicious.
