The blaze occurred at Anne Port on Saturday morning.
One fire engine attended the incident at Anne Port, with two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguishing the fire.
Jersey Fire and Rescue Service said the man was treated at the scene, and the vessel was handed over to Jersey Coastguard.
