Jersey Fire and Rescue was called out after a gas barbecue caught fire in a garden in St. Lawrence on Saturday afternoon.
The crews quickly extinguished the fire and no one was injured.
In a statement, the Jersey Fire and Rescue Service said: “Information received from the caller was the BBQ was ‘well alight’ in a back garden.
“Two appliances were mobilised and were met by the occupiers on the road side as they had quickly evacuated the property.
“Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were committed with a hose reel and thermal imaging camera and quickly extinguished the fire.”
