Islanders are being urged to keep an eye out for three stray cats which went missing from a cattery in St Brelade last night.
In a post shared on social media, Cozy Catz Cattery owner Fiona said the felines disappeared sometime between 8.30pm on Monday and 9am on Tuesday at the Route de Noirmont area.
She shared her “heartbreak and devastation”, adding that the disappearance had caused “major devastation, upset and anger” for the owners of the trio, as well as “untold stress and anxiety” for herself and the animals.
Fiona said the surrounding area had already been searched extensively, although nearby woodland had proved difficult to access.
The Cozy Catz Cattery owner added that police had been informed and the JSPCA had been given details of the cats to ensure that sightings were reported.
Appealing for the public’s help, Fiona said: “I’m begging everyone in this [Noirmont] area and beyond to please check your gardens, garages and sheds.”
Two of the missing cats are ginger, and one is tortoiseshell.

Fiona said she would not be responding to cattery enquiries while the search continued, adding: “My sole focus is to find these babies.”
