Two of the three cats which went missing from a St Brelade cattery last week have now been found, while efforts continue to locate the third.
Cozy Catz Cattery owner Fiona Stratform confirmed over the weekend that Saint was safely trapped by a neighbour and Whiskas was captured by another nearby resident.
The pair have since been returned to the cattery, leaving only Nicholas still unaccounted for.
The small ginger cat, a neutered two-year-old male with a slight build, is described as being very nervous.
The three cats disappeared from the Route de Noirmont area between 8.30pm on Monday and 9am on Tuesday last week, prompting an appeal for help from the cattery owner.
At the time, Fiona spoke of her “heartbreak and devastation”, saying the cats’ disappearance had caused “major devastation, upset and anger” for their owners, as well as “untold stress and anxiety” for herself and the animals.
She also urged Islanders to search their gardens, garages and sheds for the missing pets.
Police were informed, and the JSPCA was provided with details of the cats so any sightings could be reported.
Although two of the missing felines have now been safely recovered, Fiona has appealed for the public to remain vigilant and continue looking out for Nicholas.
