Jersey’s oldest sailing event will be returning for its 169th year in June.
Confirming the date of the next Gorey Regatta as the weekend of 20 to 21 June, organisers said they were also delighted that Jersey Electricity would continue its title sponsorship of the event this year and next.
One of the most popular in the island’s sailing calendar, the two-day event has a varied programme, ranging from races for dinghies, cruising and racing yachts to sports catamarans and dayboats, culminating in a prize-giving dinner at the Pembroke Hotel.
GRA Captain Justin Horton said JEC’s support had allowed organisers “to once again offer a full programme of sailing and social events”.
JE Head of Marketing Adam Caerlewy-Smith said the Regatta was a “vital component of Jersey’s rich maritime heritage”.
