At least 20 people from Guernsey are expected to be lining up at the start of the TCS London Marathon today.
They include Annie Ashmead who is running for Citizens Advice Guernsey and Luke Penney, Darren Broad, Jon Allaway, and Kris Buddle who all running in support of Guernsey Mind.
Father and son duo, Alan and Harry Northmore are running for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Linda Tostevin is running for Parkinsons UK and Mollie Clayton is running for ActionAid.
Emily Nuttall will be taking on the 26.2mile challenge on crutches for Grassroots Suicide Prevention.

The TCS London Marathon is one of the largest mass participation sports events in the world – with around 60,000 people expected to cross the finish line.
The race starts with the elite wheelchair entrants setting off at 08:50, followed by the elite women at 09:05, and the elite men and the mass participation waves from 09:35.
The mass participation waves see the ballot and charity place holders set off at different times until 11:30, with an eight hour time limit to complete the course from their start times.
The London Marathon is also recognised as one of the biggest charity fundraising events in the world each year.
Other local participants include Kate Walford, raising money for the Anthony Nolan Trust, and David and Peter Turner running for the Lords Taverners.
Jake McNaught, Olly Duquemin, Greg Josey, Michael Morris, Itayi Chibaya, Tim Wilson, James Priest, and Matthew Chick will also be flying the flag for Guernsey in the London Marathon today.
