All funds raised by the Jersey Heart Support Group will be staying on-island to help the charity supply more automated external defibrillators, and maintain the support of a local rehabilitation exercise class.

Among the walkers to brave the 03:00 start from Elizabeth Terminal tomorrow morning will be Head Cardiologist Dr Andrew Mitchell, Cardiology Fellow Dr Aaron Henry, as well as nurses from the cardiology and respiratory teams.
The Chair of Jersey Heart Support Group, Mandi Corley-Harris will also lead a relay team, and participants hope to be joined along the way by family and friends.
The annual charity event rakes in a staggering amount of money for local causes each year. The organiser’s hope funds raised this year top £100,000.
However, this weekend’s patchy forecast has already resulted in the cancellation of the King’s official birthday celebrations and the Sunset Concerts.
Island Walk organisers have advised participants to pack their belongings in plastic bags in their rucksacks to prevent them getting wet, and to bring a hat to keep rain away from their face.

After a successful first year in 2023, the ONE TMF Challenge will also be going ahead tomorrow which welcomes islanders of all abilities to walk the flat route from Bel Royal to the Waterfront finish.
The three main charities, that are set to benefit from between £15,000 – £20,000 each are RNLI Jersey, Trees for Life Jersey, and Skate Space.
