Jersey shoppers have long hoped for a Primark to appear on the high street to no avail – but a new scheme will now allow islanders to choose from “thousands” of products.

As part of a new click and collect initiative launched by Jersey Post’s ship2me service, islanders will be able to browse through “thousands” of Primark products and have their order delivered to their door.

Customers will be able to order Primark products online from the Portsmouth store before they are collected and shipped to Jersey.

Julie Thomas, chief operating officer at Jersey Post, said: “Primark is a brand many Islanders know and love and one that customers regularly ask us about. As Primark do not currently support delivery to homes, we’re delighted to make Primark more accessible through ship2me, using Primark’s Click & Collect service.

“Jersey Post are delighted to offer a solution that gives Islanders greater choice, convenience and value while bringing the UK high street a little closer to home.”

Products varying from fashion, kidswear, baby essentials and homeware will be available for Jersey shoppers to choose from, with a £3.95 collection fee plus shipping.

After creating a free ship2me account, Islanders can order to click and collect through the Portsmouth store, including their full name and ship2me ID – the team will then identify the correct order at collection.

More details can be found at www.ship2me.co.uk/primark – where customers can also make their free account.
