Jersey Water is working to fix a water main that burst overnight at the bottom of St Peter’s Valley.
In a social media post this morning, the utility company said that its staff were carrying out emergency repairs “as quickly and safely as possible”.
It noted that Rue du Haut is currently closed westbound and can only be exited via the Rue du Galet end, with no access from Rue du Haut turning left back into St Peter’s Valley.
“Temporary traffic lights are in place,” the update continued.
“Unfortunately, the burst has not yet been repaired and the road will need to remain closed while works continue.
“We appreciate this is particularly disruptive during the morning commute and our teams are working as quickly and safely as possible to resolve the issue.”
