A super yacht reportedly owned by Harry Potter author JK Rowling is in Jersey today.
Islanders spotted The Samsara vessel in St Helier this morning.
Marine traffic information shows that the boat left Rotterdam yesterday at 07:44 and docked in Jersey at 10:16 today.
The luxury boat is worth an estimated $150 million, and costs between $10 million and $15 million to operate annually, according to Superyacht Fan.
The Samsara is 88.5 metres long, can house a crew of 26 with 12 guests, and has “a five-meter circular swimming pool, a cutting-edge cinema, and a tranquil beach club”, according to the site.
It is unclear if the world’s wealthiest author is aboard the vessel – but Ms Rowling did pay a secret visit to Sark last year.
At the time, the author confirmed that “a few chapters” of her upcoming novel – the eighth installment in the Cormoran Strike series – were due to be set in the tiny island.
