A man has been arrested after three young islanders were allegedly assaulted at Liberation bus station.

The police are appealing for information about the incident, which happened at around 20:50 on Wednesday 23 April.

A man is said to have approached six male youths who had just disembarked a bus, and used “inappropriate language and conduct towards them” near the station’s toilets.

When one of the youths tried to leave, the man allegedly took hold of his wrists and punched him in the face.

When other youths intervened, two more are said to have been assaulted by the man who the police said was “displaying erratic and concerning behaviours”.

A man was subsequently arrested.

The police described the suspect as a white male with short brown hair, around 30-years-old, wearing a dark blue T-shirt, turquoise shorts, and black trainers.
