The alleged incident took place at lunchtime on Monday 22 July.

PC John Shatford, Community Police Officer for St Brelade, posted on social media following the arrest.

Writing on X – formerly Twitter – he said: “Dealing with an incident at the airport at lunchtime. I think we got more attention than the planes!

“One male detained for aerodrome offences and currently in custody.”

Police later confirmed that a 37-year-old man was arrested for being drunk and disorderly on licensed premises.

The “aerodrome” aspect of the charge is because the alleged offence took place at the Airport, police said.
