Police are appealing for information about an assault that allegedly took place on the Esplanade in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The force said a male had slapped a female, and members of the public had “intervened”.
No-one was seriously injured.
Police are now looking for information about the incident, which happened around 02:30 opposite the vehicle exit of the bus station.
