A private members’ club in the Royal Square that opened its doors to women five years ago has revealed the historic building will soon also be home to a clinic offering “a dedicated space for female fitness and well-being”.

The United Club is set to welcome Trudi Roscouet and her new venture Eve Studios as a tenant.

Founded in 1848, the United Club was previously a gentlemen’s club before voting to let “lady members” join in 2020.

The building’s history stretches back to the 1600s, having previously served as a corn exchange and townhouse before it was officially taken over by the club for the sum of £4,000 in 1932.

In a statement, the club said Eve Studios will open its doors in the restored former Registrar’s Office on the ground floor this summer, offering “a dedicated space for female fitness and well-being, focusing on supporting women of all ages – from teenagers to
those over 65″.

The statement continued: “As an organisation that has embraced inclusivity since becoming a mixed club in 2020, the United Club is committed to fostering a welcoming and diverse community.

“The committee is thrilled to welcome Trudi and her clients to the building, and looks forward to the positive contribution Eve Studios will make to women’s health in Jersey.”
