A brand new soft play centre is due to open at the Waterfront next month.

The Jersey Development Company confirmed that Tintos Soft Play will open in the former Arcadia and WYSIWYG premises from Wednesday 1 October.

The leisure facility will replace the indoor play facility at Fort Regent, which is permanently closing at the end of this month in preparation for the redevelopment of the site.

Tintos will be run by an independent operator and cater for children up to the age of 12 years.

Facilities include a baby play area, a sensory zone, an interactive zone, plus, slides, climbing
walls, rope bridges and crawl-through tubes.

The space will also house a café and a dedicated party space for birthdays and other events.

Tintos will open seven days a week, from 09:00 to 17:00 from Monday to Thursday, and 09:00 to 18:00 from Friday to Sunday.

According to the Jersey Development Company, funding for the play area came from profits made from the College Gardens development as agreed by the Regeneration Steering Group.

Jersey Development Company CEO Lee Henry said: “We’re delighted to see the transformation of this space at the Waterfront into a new family-focused amenity.

“Tintos Soft Play is just one part of the Government’s relocation of activities from Fort Regent to enable its much-needed regeneration, and we’re pleased to be working alongside Government to deliver new all-weather leisure facilities that serve the community.”
