Trinity Constable Philip Le Sueur shared the highs and lows of this year – and his parish ‘wish list’ for 2026…

What have been your parish highlights of 2025?

The parish community coming together to enjoy the Liberation 80 celebrations.

What has been the greatest challenge for your parish this year?

The foul drainage network in many parts of the parish being at capacity is preventing development of much-needed additional retirement homes to enable parishioners to downsize and remain within our community.

And what is on your parish ‘wish list’ for 2026?

Apart from looking forward to my retirement at the June elections, I hope we will at least commence the proposed extension to the parish office to make the building easily accessible for all.

If I have one final wish, it would be to see the demolition of the former Water’s Edge Hotel in Bouley Bay, construction of the new home, and restoration of the landscape.
