The Force said the collision took place on Bath Street at approximately 10:55.
“A dark grey Toyota Prius was turning left from Charles Street onto Bath Street when it collided with a pedestrian crossing the road. The pedestrian was carrying some large sheets of wood,” they said in a statement.
“The pedestrian sustained some minor bruising following the collision.”

Police are now seeking to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, particularly the driver of a Black Range Rover which was travelling along Bath Street at the time and had to stop as a result of the incident.
