A new pet food bank has been launched to help furry friends across the island whose owners may be struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.
The JSPCA has launched the pet pantry initiative from its shelter on St Saviour’s Road.
Islanders can simply take a card from reception, tick what they need and one of the team will collect the items for them.
In a post on social media, the charity said: “The JSPCA Pet Pantry gives you a bit of breathing space to help with the cost of pet food.
“Whether you need a little top up or an emergency box, we are here to help.”
The pantry is stocked with kitten and puppy milk, cat and dog food, treats, bowls and a selection of food for specialist diets.
Food donations, ideally within the expiry date, can be dropped off to the animal shelter.
