Year 12 students from Jersey College for Girls are preparing to take to the catwalk this week as part of a charity fashion show featuring pre-loved and upcycled clothing.

The event, taking place at The Good Companions Club in St Clement on Friday 2 October, is being organised jointly by the Rotary Club of Jersey and Rotary Club de la Manche to raise funds for Autism Jersey and The Good Companions Club.

Students from JCG’s Fashion and Textiles Department have been working with Autism Jersey and The Good Companions Club charity shops to create a series of looks for the show.

The Year 12 students have been designing, modelling and styling outfits using clothing sourced from the charity shops.

Some pieces have been creatively upcycled and transformed, while others have been put together using pre-loved garments that will be available to purchase after being showcased on the evening.

The two charity shops will also present their own fashion collections, giving guests the opportunity to see how second-hand clothing can be styled into contemporary outfits.

The evening will include the fashion show alongside canapés, refreshments and a raffle.

The event takes place from 7pm to 9.30pm on Friday 2 October at The Good Companions Club in St Clement.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for students.

Tickets can be obtained by emailin the organisers at madeleinedelacour1959@gmail.com or tracylinney@icloud.com.
