The start of the month reached 13.9 degrees – the same temperature that broke records back in 2000 for the highest temperature ever recorded on 1 December in Jersey.

And Jersey Met’s latest figures show Autumn was pretty hot too – the 7th sunniest on record and drier and milder than average.

This warmer spell is set to continue into the weekend. We can expect some sunny intervals today although the wind is picking up and is likely to reach a strong Force 6 or 7 by this evening, with rain from about 6 pm.

There should be more sunny periods on Friday, a max of 12 degrees and the rain should hold off until Sunday and Monday when we can expect to see some showers.
