The Jersey Lifeboat Association’s Albert Pinel was called into action at 17:20 on Sunday after receiving a call from those aboard the broken down boat.

A JLA spokesperson said the crew arrived at the scene neat the Canger Bouy within 30 minutes of the initial call.

The JLA’s inshore lifeboat Albert Pinel was able to tow the broken down boat ashore, where it was loaded onto a trailer.

In a post of social media, the JLA paid tribute to the occupants of the speed boat for having been “well-prepared with lifejackets, safety gear, and communication equipment”.

Kudos to all involved for their quick thinking and professionalism!” the post added.
