The most popular meal deals across the Channel Islands have been revealed – with a chicken and bacon Caesar wrap, satay chicken snacks, and an orange Lucozade Sport taking the top spot.
The Channel Islands Coop has revealed the top meal deal picks for Jersey and Guernsey shoppers in 2025, showcasing the mains, snacks and drinks most frequently grabbed by islanders on the go.
When it came to the main meal, chicken reigned supreme – featuring in over half of the ten most popular choices.
The chicken and bacon sandwich and the all-day breakfast sandwich were the second and third most popular meal deal mains last year.
The top mains were dominated by sandwiches and wraps, with no sushi in sight, but a pasta salad scraped into the top ten.
Only two crisps made the top ten snacks last year, with Hula Hoops Big Hoops BBQ Beef in eighth place and McCoy’s Thai Sweet Chicken in tenth.
Islanders instead opted for protein-rich snacks – with satay snacks in first place, followed by an egg and mustard mayo dip pack, and chicken poppers in second and third place.
This was similar to the UK, where an egg protein pot came out on top of the snack list.
It seems islanders aren’t as health-conscious when it comes to drink choices – with sugary drinks dominating the top ten.
Lucozade Sport Orange, Coca-Cola, and Red Bull ranked as the top three choices, but more healthier options such as Diet Coke, Innocent Berry Energise Smoothie and Innocent Orange Juice were in fourth, fifth and sixth place.
