A small fire started in a temporary cabin at Beaulieu Convent School yesterday afternoon.
In a message to parents, headteacher Matthew Burke said that the fire broke out in a temporary cabin at the back of the school and was quickly put out by the fire service.
He said: “Thankfully, the incident was dealt with quickly, everyone remained safe throughout, and there was minimal damage to the area contained.
“We appreciate the prompt response of the emergency services and the support shown by those involved.”
