Dogs and their owners are invited to follow a trail of clues across Jersey next month as part of a free Easter scavenger hunt with prizes hidden inside six mystery eggs.

Organised by Paws Pitstop and Dandy Coffee Shop, the event is due to take place on 6 April and will task people and their pets with trying to find the eggs along popular dog-walking routes across Jersey through riddles released on the businesses’ social media channels.

The eggs will contain “yummy” dog treats, as well as two vouchers of equal value, one for each of the companies. The vouchers will be worth from £10 to £100.

What prizes will be in the egg?

How can you redeem the prizes?

There will also be a unique QR code, which, once scanned, generates an email for the participant to fill in with their details. Once it is sent, the organisers will verify the details and the win, with successful players able to pick up their physical vouchers the following week.

How can you take part?

There will be no tickets and no entry fee, and you don’t need to be a client of Paws Pitstop or Dandy. “All you need is your friends and family, a bit of spare time and a dog if you have one,” the organisers said.

“We wanted to create something that brings families together”

The founder of Paws Pitstop, Alexandra Paterson, said: “Spring, especially Easter, is one of the best times of year in Jersey.

“We wanted to create something that brings families together, gets dogs moving and reminds people how lucky we are to have such beautiful walking routes on our doorstep.

“This is about community, fresh air and shared experiences. If a few golden eggs get people outside and smiling, then we’ve done our job.”
