One of Jersey’s oldest construction company groups has ceased trading with immediate effect.

The Style Group – including Style Windows, Style Homes, Style Interiors, and longstanding construction firm AC Mauger – confirmed that it had ceased trading and intended to enter winding up procedures.

In a letter sent to staff and seen by Express, the company said “the challenges facing the business have made it impossible to continue”.

It continued: “In order to protect all parties’ interests interest we have needed to place all payments on hold, and that unfortunately includes salaries and wages.”

Staff were asked to return all company property “with immediate effect”.

“If you have a company car, we will make arrangements to help you get home once it is returned,” the letter added.

It is the latest in a string of high-profile collapses in Jersey’s construction sector.

2023 saw the demise of Camerons and JP Mauger, while Kalmac, MAC Energy and Eden Interiors collapsed in 2024.

This year began with the shutdown of K-Land Construction, followed by Nicholson Builders in February, who cited financial difficulties and personal tragedy.
