The two girls were heading back to St Brelade’s just after 4pm when one of them fell at Le Chemin De Creux. Lifeguards and firefighters were called out to help the injured girl who is in a stable and comfortable condition this morning.

RNLI lifeguards were first on the scene and treated the girl before ten firefighters arrived with a paramedic and rope rescue equipment on the Inshore Rescue Boat.

After treating her at the scene she was taken on the boat to paramedics waiting in St Brelade’s Bay.

Crew Commander John Lloyd is urging people not to go out coasteering alone. He said: “Make sure you are with someone and don’t coasteer on your own. Always let someone know where you’re going and what time you intend to return. Dress appropriately and always check the tide conditions.”
