This morning, hundreds of runners took part in the 20th Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon, which was first held in 2006.

One runner set a new women’s record by completing the 26.2-mile challenge in just two hours and 40 minutes.

Fastest Marathon – Male

The first runner and fastest male to complete the marathon was Simon Kimtai Kwarat, achieving a time of two hours, 17 minutes, and 1 second.

Fastest Marathon – Female

Alice Braham was the first female to cross the finish line with an impressive time of two hours, 40 minutes and 47 seconds, setting a new female course record since 2013.

Relay Race – Team of Two

The Jersey Distance Runners Team were the fastest two people relay team to finish the marathon in two hours, 27 minutes and 51 seconds.

Relay Race – Team of Five

The Jersey Spartan AC Endurance Team crossed the finish line in two hours, 38 minutes and 53 seconds, making them the fastest five person relay team.

Marathon Mile

Emil Friedrich, age 14, was the fastest runner to complete the Marathon Mile in an impressive five minutes and nine seconds.
